Testing
Testing is a method of measuring a person's ability, knowledge, or performance in given domain.
1. method is Procedure of method (the way how to know definitive procedure of test result).
2. Measure is Instrument / tool to grade specific students level of competence
3. Individual ability, knowledge is individual skill competence, background experience.
4. Performance is ability in performing language.
5. given domain is specific area, reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Assessment is continuous process that from the teacher or their friend to continuous learning process, different with test process that the time is specific. Test is part of assessment and assessment part of teaching. The final result will be targeted at skill within the competence of each student.
Types of testing
Ease of qualification response
1. Objective test is a test paper and pencil that the answer can be compared and quantified to yield a numerical score (short answer test) that the answer is fix answer of the test. Example : cross or circle of the answer.
2. Subjective test is a paper and pencil test which is not easily quantified as students are given the freedom to write their answer to a question such as an essay test. Example: True or false question.
Mode Of Administration
1. Indual test is a test administered to one student at a time.
2. Group test is one administration to a group of students.
Test Constructor
1. Standardized test is a test prepared by an expert or specialist. This type of test samples behavior under uniform procedures. Example: Test Toefl / National exam those who makes the question are expert in their respective fields.
Questions are administered to students with the same direction and time limit.
2. Unstandardized test is one prepared by teachers for use in the classroom, with no established norms for scoring and interpretation of result. It is constructed by classroom teacher to meet a particular need.

There Approaches of Assessment
1. Assessment of learning is assessment carried out after the learning process is complete. example Final test.
2. Assessment for learning is to improve the teaching and learning process and prioritize the progress of each and the teacher to provide feedback for students.
3. Assessment of L:earning is increasing students actively to improve learning process takes place.
The purpose of learning is to increase progress in learning
Types of Assessment
1. Informal and formal assessment is response or feedback for student without being planned. example : Nice job !, Good work !. This types is structured types and this assessment is systematic to see the extent of student's knowledge and skill and to assess student achievement in learning.
2. Formative and Summative assessment is to improve or improve learning and to find out the extent of students' abilities in learning. Summative assessment aims to determine students' abilities with (final project) , such as the evaluation of learning through tests.
3. Norm-Referenced and Criterion-Refereced. Norm referenced is to determine the position of a student in the group. Criterion referenced is to find out student achievement or grades with PAP compared with existing the criterion. example: the scrore are
A = 90-100
AB = 75-80
B = 60-70
